Daily Itinerary
Day 1: Zurich City Adventure & Limmat River Float
Morning: Sweet Start
Begin your Swiss journey at the Lindt Home of Chocolate. Arrive at 10:00 AM to explore interactive exhibits and indulge in chocolate sampling. Afterwards, grab a quick brunch in Zurich's charming old town.
Afternoon: Float the Limmat
Experience Zurich like a local by floating down the Limmat River. Opt for a DIY float from Flussbad Oberer Letten or join a guided raft tour for a more relaxed 2-3 hour journey through the city.
Evening: Old Town Charm
Explore Zurich's Altstadt (Old Town) on foot. Enjoy dinner at a traditional restaurant, perhaps trying Zürcher Geschnetzeltes, and end the night with a panoramic city view from Lindenhof.
Trek & Driving Logistics
Parking During Trek: We recommend Lauterbrunnen’s garage (~CHF 18/day +). Cheaper options are available at Stechelberg (~CHF 12/day) or Wilderswil (~CHF 5/day), but require an extra train leg.
Driving Tips: Your rental car will have a highway vignette (toll sticker). Stick to speed limits (cameras are common). Use lower gears on mountain descents to save brakes. Yield to postbuses on tight roads.
Parking Tips: Use blue zones for short stays (with a parking disc) or covered garages for longer periods. Carry coins for meters and consider downloading the EasyPark app.
